After our Indian summer, we’re finally getting the cold weather that means it’s really football (and macchiato) season. Anyway, yesterday I’m leaving Orchard Park, NY for a profile on Dick Jauron and Marv Levy and stop by a sprawling Starbucks on the way to the airport. For anyone who hasn’t been to the Buffalo area, a good rule of thumb is that it is always about 15 degrees colder there than anywhere else in the US. Since it was about 40 on the east coast yesterday, this means it was roughly 25 degrees there. So as I’m waiting in line to make my order, in walks a guy in flip flops, shorts and orders a venti iced coffee “extra cold.” Now you can understand where the fans like this come from.
